Abstract: The objective of the study was to develop an algorithm of developing outdoor recreational routes with active travel means for school students, which will contribute to improving their physical health, motivation for an active lifestyle, and the development of healthy recreation skills. The following scientific methods were used: analysis and generalization of professional literature, documentary materials, pedagogical research methods, sociological research methods, methods of assessing physical activity, and methods of mathematical statistics. A total of 20 school students (aged 14–15 years) were involved in the study. Results. The algorithm of developing outdoor recreational routes with active travel means can be divided into several main stages, among which are: determining the goal and target audience, choosing a location, collecting and analyzing information about the territory, developing the route, preparing infrastructure and equipment, developing a program of activities on the route, conducting a test route, preparing materials for participants, and organizing feedback with participants. This algorithm makes possible to structure the process of developing an outdoor recreational route with active travel means and contributes to increasing the level of physical activity and health of participants. The assessment of the effectiveness of the developed algorithm of developing an outdoor recreational route with active travel means was based on an integrated approach that takes into account several key aspects: the level of physical activity, the level of physical health, the interests of adolescents, and additional factors such as accessibility and safety. Conclusions. The paper proposes the algorithm of developing an outdoor recreational route with active travel means, which is specially adapted for schoolchildren, taking into account their physical capabilities, interests, and needs.
