Energy-independent Gas Burner Device for a Cooking Boiler

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Until recently, the preparation of feed and food in private households was carried out using firewood, coal or electricity. Intensive gasification of the village allows for the large-scale use of natural gas for these purposes. A highly reliable gas-powered energy supply system for a cooking kettle has been developed for the preparation of feed and food in peasant farms, which allows for its operation in the absence of a centralized power supply due to accidents in electrical networks or scheduled shutdowns for their repair. The design and technological scheme and operating principle of a gas burner device with an automatic power control function are presented. The experimental studies conducted allowed us to determine the dynamics of gas consumption and product temperature in the cooking tank. In manual mode, heating 100 liters of water to boiling took 90 minutes at a constant gas consumption of 8.3 m3 / min. The total gas consumption was 0.756 m3 . In automatic mode, the boiler reached the boiling point in 70 minutes and the total gas consumption was 0.67 m3 . The results of the studies showed that the use of an automated power supply system can reduce natural gas consumption by 11.4%. In addition to reducing gas consumption, the automated power supply system of the digester helps to increase the stability of the technological process. The influence of the human factor on product quality is reduced and the likelihood of emergency situations associated with overheating or improper adjustment of combustion parameters is reduced. The results obtained confirm the prospects of using automated systems in the food industry to improve energy efficiency.
