Evaluation of the Laparoscopic Gastric Greater Curvature Plication on Weight Loss and Postoperative Complications in Patients with Severe Obesity

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Among all obesity treatments, metabolic/bariatric surgery has proven the most sustained effectiveness in achieving weight loss and improvement with reduced mortality, complications, and healthcare utilization. LGCP involves laparoscopy that creates a greater gastric curvature to reduce gastric volume by placing one or two rows of non-absorbable sutures. This study investigates the effect of LGCP on weight loss and long-term follow-up in patients with severe obesity.
