Basic psychological need satisfaction and basic psychological need frustration and work engagement of the college of business administration in Jose Rizal Memorial State University System

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the basic psychological need satisfaction and basic psychological need frustration and how they affect the work engagement of employees in the College of Business Administration of Jose Rizal Memorial State University System during the school year 2023-2024. A descriptive correlational research method was employed. Weighted mean, standard deviation, and Spearman Rank-Order Correlation Coefficient (Spearman rho) were the statistical tools employed with Jamovi as statistical software. There were one hundred fourteen (114) respondents involved in the study. The levels of basic psychological need satisfaction and work engagement were significantly and positively correlated. The levels of basic psychological need frustration and work engagement were significantly and negatively correlated.
