Reply to Block on Property Rights and Gun Control
Year: 2025
Type: letter
Abstract: Block (2023) rejects the criticisms of Block and Block (2000) leveled by Fegley and Dominiak (2021) against their universal libertarian theory of gun control. The present article argues that Block fails to sufficiently address any of those criticisms, and thus they are here restated louder and harder. In his recent criticism, Block (2023) is mistaken, inter alia, about possession being an action, his density account of permissibility, and his deflationary theory of property rights.
