The article explores the preservation of cultural heritage through the lens of the characters’ personal experience, emphasizing the connection between the past and the present in the context of literary discourse. Attention is focused on the use of temporal anomalies as a literary device to maximize the emotional impact on the reader. It is investigated how the non-linear construction of time allows for a deeper disclosure of the psychological aspects of the characters and the creation of a multi-level narrative.
