Nanomedicine with simple structure for programmable heat-shock protein inhibition and sensitized synergistic therapy
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: • It presents an example of nanomedicine with simple structure for programmable tumor treatment. • It states the order of different treatments has significant impact on the therapeutic effect. • It effectively ablates the size of tumor within a short therapeutic period of 12 days. The structure of nanomedicines has been becoming more and more complex to maximize therapeutic effects, which is detrimental to the practical application. Here, a nanomedicine with simple structure is constructed by using Fe 3+ as nodes to stabilize the heat shock protein 90 inhibitor epigallocatechin gallate on the surface of carbon QDs. H 2 S bind the Fe 3+ nodes, triggering the release of inhibitor and the recovery of red emission of carbon QDs, while the generated FeS is useful for photothermal-chemodynamic therapy. Therefore, H 2 S-activated programmable heat shock protein inhibition and synergistic therapy is achieved based on nanomedicine with simple structure.
