Clinical example of intracorporeal antiperistaltic ileotransverse anastomosis in laparoscopic right hemicolectomy

Abstract: In the era of minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer, more and more studies are devoted to improving surgical techniques of intracorporeal ileo-colic anastomosis. In this article, we demonstrate our own experience in performing a hardware, intracorporeal, antiperistaltic ileo-transverse anastomosis in three patients after laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for right colon cancer. This type of anastomosis can become a good alternative to an intracorporeal isoperistaltic anastomosis, reducing the time and cost of the surgical procedure.
