Acción curativa, tecnificación y crisis: hacia una medicina personal
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article presents some keys to situate medicine in reference to the person based on the transcendental anthropology of Leonardo Polo. In the first part, it introduces the situation in which modern medicine finds itself, taking as a paradigmatic example the health emergency of international importance declared in 2020. In the second part, a diagnosis is made based on the criticism of the excessive technification and formalization of science in general, and of medicine in particular. In the third part, it points out the advantages associated with the personal approach to medicine and closes with a section that discovers the anthropological dualities surrounding medical activity as the basis of a new medical paradigm that places the personal being at the center.
