An Overview of Sustainable Urban Regeneration Development: A Synergistic Perspective of CIM and BIM

Abstract: This study investigates the role of digital technologies, specifically Building Information Modelling (BIM) and City Information Modelling (CIM), in sustainable urban renewal. The study reviews the literature on urban renewal and the application of BIM and CIM technologies. The findings show that digital technologies play a crucial role in facilitating the flow and sharing of information, improving the transparency of decision-making, and enhancing public participation. The study emphasises the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and technological innovation to achieve more sustainable and liveable urban environments.
