Determination of the Abundance of Mercury from the Hg ii Line at 5677.10 Å in Late B-type Stars. XVI. HD 33904 (μ Lep)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The weak line of Hg ii located at 5677.10 Å is clearly detected as a 3% absorption feature in a series of FEROS and HARPS spectra of the HgMn star HD 33904. The synthesis of this Hg ii feature yields a mercury excess, about +5.70 dex, for the FEROS and the HARPS spectrum which is about half of the +6.00 dex excess previously derived from the Hg ii line at 3983.93 Å. There is no evidence for variability of this line in the FEROS nor HARPS spectra used in this work.
