Abstract: This paper explores walking as a research tool and cultural practice, tracing the trajectories of its intellectual and methodological development in the social sciences and humanities. It examines early intersections between walking and aesthetic practices in the 20th century, highlighting key debates and advances. It then introduces senso-digital walks, an ethnographic method used in the Solčavsko region (Slovenia) to explore the understandings that emerge from a combination of sensory perceptions, environmental transformations, and digital technologies, while examining care, fragility, and localism.
