Application, Prospects and Challenges of 3D Printing Technology in Organ Regeneration
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The application of 3D printing technology in organ regeneration is one of the hot topics in medical research today. As well as, the researchers found that the technology has made significant progress in personalized organ production, tissue engineering, biological scaffolds, and cell printing, but there are still many challenges in terms of production costs, manufacturing efficiency, quality control, safety verification, and ethical laws. Therefore, the research theme of this paper is to explore the application, prospect and challenge of 3D printing technology in organ regeneration. Through a literature review, this paper summarizes and analyzes the existing research results. The results of the study found that 3D printing technology has great application potential in organ regeneration, but it also faces some technical and non-technical challenges. Future development directions include improving technical performance, developing intelligent bio-inks, realizing high-precision multi-material bio-3D printing, etc., to promote the wide application of 3D printing technology in the medical field.
