Practical Aspects of Obtaining Deformed Blanks for the Production of Biodegradable Implants of Increased Quality
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This work investigates the possibility of improving the structure and properties of a cast magnesium alloy in the Mg-Nd-Zr-Ag system due to its plastic deformation. The optimal ones have been selected as modes of plastic deformation of cast blanks for the manufacture of high-quality implants. It has been shown that plastic deformation of the MC10 alloy makes it possible to significantly refine its structure by 10 times and increase the level of its mechanical properties by 3 or 5 times. Bacteriological studies of MC10 alloy blanks have shown its high antimicrobial properties, which makes it a promising material for the manufacture of implants.
