W poszukiwaniu zaginionych 99 języków: o rozbudzaniu uśpionej twórczości studentów wczesnej edukacji

Abstract: Loris Malaguzzi wrote that a child has 100 languages, but loses 99 of them during formal education. Therefore, the candidates entering pedagogical studies are no longer able to use them, although they have to become the initiators of creative activities of their students. As an academic teacher, I invite students to develop their own creativity by creating children's books, educational games and radio plays. In order to investigate what value students attribute to such tasks in the context of preparing for their future teaching work, I conducted a qualitative study among 42 students using an open-ended questionnaire. Many of the surveyed students pointed out that thanks to creative activities during their studies, they appreciated their own talents, expanded their work skills, but most of all, they realized that "I can do it, too". This article is a report on the study, but also an invitation to a further discussion concerning the place of broadly understood creative activities in the contemporary model of teachers’ education.
