Abstract: The purpose of this report was to describe the diagnostic protocol, treatment and outcome of an 11‐year‐old, entire male, mixed‐breed dog with a gall bladder neoplasia histologically consistent with a leiomyoma. On referral, the patient had no clinical signs related to the gall bladder mass. The detection of the mass was an incidental finding during the staging for an interdigital mass consistent with a mast cell tumour. Elevations in liver enzyme activities, as well as cholesterol and triglycerides, were supportive of cholestasis. Cholecystectomy was ultimately performed 2 months after diagnosis, and histology confirmed a leiomyoma of the gall bladder. Nineteen months after the cholecystectomy, the dog was alive and in good clinical condition.
