Lanthanide Ion Doping as a Way to Control the Properties of Borosilicate Glasses Used in Photovoltaics
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The paper considers the effect of sodoping with cerium and gadolinium ions on the structure of aluminosilicate glass. It was found that compositions with a high content of Gd2O3 show a tendency to glass formation, increasing the degree of polymerization of the silicon mesh and at the same time shifting the equilibrium BØ30 ↔ BØ4 to the formation of symmetric boron triangles, which is reflected in the greatest decrease in TCLE for this composition compared with matrix glass.
