Type: article
Abstract: The leaves of Averrhoa carambola L. (Oxalidaceae) have traditionally been used in folk medicine for alleviating pain and inflammation. This study explored the anti-inflammatory properties of A. carambola leaf extracts. The extraction was performed using the Soxhlet method, starting with petroleum ether and subsequently using 95% ethanol.
