Abstract: ABSTRACT Salmonella enterica serovar Newport is a major contributor to the burden of salmonellosis in the United States. We report the closed genomic sequences of 14 S . Newport isolates collected from various sources in the United States. All consist of one circular chromosome, and eight have at least one circular plasmid.
