Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Big Data is now swinging into Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), which makes a definite shift in organizations' applied cybersecurity policies and practices. Existing logically based security models mainly provide perimeter security and are ineffective against contemporary threats. Zero Trust, which is based on the slogan ‘never trust, always check’, needs constant control and security management. Big data analytics enhances the functionalities of ZTA by analyzing large volumes of real-time security information, determining the vulnerability level, and providing an automated response to security threats. In this paper, the author examines how Big Data aids and enhances Zero Trust in consideration of technologies like AI, ML, and behavioral analytics. Additionally, it discusses the risks and benefits of using data as a foundation for adopting policy-based security in a Zero Trust model. The advantages of analytic and algorithmical applications include safeguarding an organization’s infrastructure, diminishing its attack vectors, and rapidly countering threats
