Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Coastal areas are very dynamic and their abrasion often impacts the lives of people living around them, such as at Pebuahan Beach, Banyubiru Village, Bali. This study aims to answer the dynamic abrasion and accretion as well as the characteristics of coastal hazards at Pebuahan Beach, Banyubiru Village, Negara, Jembrana, Bali. In communicating and mapping the conditions of abrasion and accretion as well as coastal hazards, Multitemporal Satellite Imagery was used for 2-3 years using Purposive Sampling available from Google Earth Pro with consideration of geometric differences that were not too significant and made eight transect lines to see the distances processed through QGIS and coastal hazards based on criteria from Coastal Hazard Wheel (CHW). The results show that the use of multi-temporal imagery provided by Google Earth Pro visually shows the development of abrasion and accretion that occurred at Pebuahan Beach, Banyubiru Village. Based on studies conducted, the worst recorded abrasion occurred in the 2011-2014 period with the highest abrasion distance reaching 43.78 m, the average distance 32.64 m, and the area reaching 40,490.25 m2. The highest accretion was in the 2018-2020 period with the highest accretion distance reaching 7.88 m, the average accretion distance 5.13 m, and the area of accretion that occurred reaching 5,507.59 m2. Based on CHW, Pebuahan Beach has a very high level of danger at the location for ecosystem disruption Ecosystem Disruption and Gradual Inundation, high for Erosion, and moderate for Salt water intrusion and flooding.
