A firefighter with polymorphic ventricular tachycardia and a heterozygous TRDN variant: Sports electrophysiology in action
Year: 2025
Type: editorial
Abstract: In this issue of Heart Rhythm Case Reports, Katapadi and colleagues1 report a case of a firefighter with polymorphic ventricular tachycardia induced during a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) and previously known symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) requiring cardioversions and catheter ablation. During catheter ablation for reconnected pulmonary veins and induced typical atrial flutter, he underwent ventricular stimulation with no ventricular arrhythmias induced and was therefore managed with an implantable loop recorder, flecainide, and nadolol.
