Abstract: This research paper analyses the absenteeism problem in the three plants of an auto industry and offers recommendations for bringing the absenteeism under control. Particular emphasis has been placed on the underlying causes for the high absenteeism rates and the procedure for effective controls, so that absenteeism can be reduced to the acceptable levels.
