Abstract: The monkeypox virus, which belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus, is the cause of the uncommon viral zoonotic illness known as monkeypox. Occasional breakouts beyond of its endemic regions have brought it international notice. The goal of this perspective paper is to give a thorough description of mokeypox, covering its origins, biological makeup, invasion of humans, mortality rate, process of multiplication, treatment plan, availability of medications, drug patents and their and market strategies. This paper advocates for the affordability and accessibility of vaccines and medicines for all nations affected by monkeypox, thereby contributing to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, Good health and Wellbeing.
