Abstract: Dengue cases have been rising globally in recent years. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) specifically, weather conditions have created an ideal breeding ground for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the primary vector of the disease. We report the case of a 62-year-old South Asian male residing in the UAE who initially experienced vague flu-like symptoms. His condition progressively worsened, ultimately resulting in an unexpected out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and, tragically, death.
