Abstract: This article analyzes the life projects of technological high school students in Morelos, focusing on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected their educational and career goals. Using a qualitative approach and sociological discourse analysis, data were collected from 2017 to 2021, including the students' emotional narratives. The pandemic, considered a social disaster, radically reconfigured their emotional universe, generating uncertainty and pessimistic narratives about their future. Virtual education exacerbated inequalities and affected academic performance, revealing the interconnection between emotions, social context, and educational development. The findings highlight the importance of self-care and mental health in planning their life projects
