Review of Research on Seismic Strengthening Methods for Existing Residential Buildings Based on Prefabricated Technology
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: At present, many residential buildings in China adopt masonry structures, and the seismic performance of the structure itself is poor. China is a country with severe earthquake disasters. Because of improvements in fortification intensity, fortification standards, or different design standards, the seismic performance of many existing residential buildings can't meet the requirements of the current seismic codes. It is an effective measure to reduce the loss of earthquake disasters through seismic appraisal of existing residential buildings and seismic reinforcement of houses that do not meet the appraisal requirements. At present, the prefabricated reinforcement method that is lightweight, fast, low‐carbon, and reduces the impact on use has become the main development trend of reinforcement technology. This paper expounds on the related research progress of existing prefabricated wall panel reinforcement technology and external prestressed reinforcement technology, analyzes the applicability of existing prefabricated technology in seismic reinforcement of existing residential buildings, and finally looks forward to the new direction of prefabricated seismic reinforcement.
