Duplicidad de la metafísica y duplicidad de la política: Granel ante Feuerbach, Nancy ante Blanchot

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The debate on community opened by Nancy and Blanchot in 1983 had a major impact on the political thought over the following twenty years. However, the veiled criticisms that these authors addressed to each other were not made explicit until Nancy himself presented them in “La communauté desavouée”. There, Nancy points to a split in politics that occurs in Blanchot’s approaches that lead the latter to repeat what he was trying to fight. Gérard Granel, in a 1973 text in which he discusses the relationship between Heidegger and metaphysical thought, directed a similar criticism at Feuerbach by affirming that the latter’s attempt to abandon metaphysics brought about what he was trying to avoid. In this article, I address the similarity between both approaches. I present possible alternatives to the problem pointed out by Nancy.
