Abstract: We identified hepatitis E virus (HEV) 3ra, a potentially zoonotic subtype, in rabbits in Ukraine, which highlights their potential role as reservoirs. Screening of rabbit fecal samples identified HEV-3ra. Public health services in this country should improve HEV surveillance and expand HEV sampling.
