Abstract: The original online version of this paper has been updated to remove the phrase "CH4 and" in the below segment: The spatial variability of emissions in a Swedish (CH4) stream and two German streams (CH4 and CO2) was more closely related to variable concentrations rather than variable k (Halbedel & Koschorreck 2013; Natchimuthu et al. 2017; Leng et al. 2021). Likewise, we found that diffusive CH4 and CO2 emissions were more closely related to variable concentrations than variable water velocity and k600.
