Abstract: This paper is devoted to the analysis of preventive measures and effective methods of controlling spider mites of the subfamily Tetranychinae, which are serious pests of agricultural crops. The peculiarities of the ecology of the common spider mite Tetranychus urticae Koch. T. Special attention is paid to the problem of resistance of mites to insecticides and acaricides, which makes their control difficult.
