Abstract: This study aims to analyze the conceptualization of gender-based teacher violence from the perspective of teaching staff at a higher education institution focused on teacher training. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through surveys that included semantic networks and Likert-type response scales. The study's findings reveal that teaching staff generally perceive gender-based teacher violence as a problem influenced by various factors such as machismo, authoritarianism, and inequality. Furthermore, these concepts are linked to practices identified by teachers, such as discrimination, exclusion, and harassment, which are seen as significant forms of gender violence in the educational setting. These attitudes and behaviors reflect the perpetuation of inequality and abuse of power in this environment. However, in terms of everyday practices at the participating institution, the findings indicate a low or almost non-existent incidence of such acts according to the faculty's perspective. Although this could be influenced by the underestimation and normalization of violent behaviors in general, teachers demonstrate a sensitive and understanding attitude towards gender violence, emphasizing the importance of maintaining ongoing training to effectively address any form of gender violence in the educational setting. This would contribute to creating safer environments for all involved in the educational process.
