The transformation of human resources management in the pharmaceutical industry: challenges and opportunities in the digital age
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing significant transformations in human resources management, driven by the adoption of digital technologies and new global regulations. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital recruitment platforms are redefining the practices of attracting, selecting, and retaining talent, optimizing the candidate experience and allowing for a more strategic approach to people management. Companies are adopting predictive analytics technologies that can anticipate hiring needs based on historical data and market trends, creating a more proactive and prepared environment for future challenges. Additionally, digital learning platforms and the focus on personalizing employees' journeys have contributed to the continuous development of skills and the strengthening of the bond between organizations and their employees. However, new privacy and data security regulations, as well as increasing pressure for diversity and inclusion, pose new challenges to human resources practices. The COVID-19 pandemic also accelerated the adoption of hybrid and remote work models, requiring companies to adapt to ensure flexibility in managing their teams. This scenario requires pharmaceutical companies to harmoniously integrate technology and regulations, innovating not only in processes but also in how they manage and develop their human capital, aiming to ensure their competitiveness and success in the future.
