Dynamics of fishing and the size structure of crayfish in reservoirs of the Rostov region in the period 2016-2023

Abstract: Kuban crayfish Pontastacus cubanicus (Burst et. Winogr., 1934) is one of the priority objects of freshwater invertebrate fishery in the Rostov region. This paper presents the dynamics of crayfish production (catch) by organized fishing in the period 2016-2023. A review of changes in the state of the crayfish population in terms of size structure was conducted. The characteristic of the reasons for the change in the fishing stock and an assessment of its current state are also given.
