Abstract: Micronutrient malnutrition, often termed “hidden hunger,” is a persistent public health crisis affecting over 2 billion people globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Deficiencies in essential micronutrients such as iron, iodine, vitamin A, and zinc lead to severe consequences, including stunted growth, cognitive impairments, weakened immunity, and increased mortality. While traditional fortification methods have made progress, innovative approaches are needed to accelerate global impact. Pharmacists, with their expertise in formulation, drug delivery, and community health, are uniquely positioned to drive these advancements.
