Abstract: Compared to older data sources, 13 new fish species for the Miniș River were found: Phoxinus phoxinus , Hucho hucho , Barbus balcanicus, Rutilus rutilus, Carasius gibelio, Leucaspius delineatus, Ameiurus nebulosus, Pseudorasbora parva, Cottus gobio, Rhodeus amarus, Alburnus alburnus, Chondrostoma nasus, Cobitis elongata . Eight species known here from the past were still found: Salmo trutta , Squalius cephalus , Alburnoides bipunctatus , Gobio obtusirostris, Barbatula barbatula, Eudontomyzon danfordi, Sabanejewia balcanica, Romanogobio banaticus . The unnatural structure of the fish communities and the identified changes of the fish zonation along Miniș River reveal a complex set of impacts from human activities on this lotic ecosystem.
