Video-assisted thoracoscopic repair of left hemidiaphragm relaxation under combined anesthesia (clinical case)

Abstract: This clinical case reflects the successful application of videothoracoscopic technologies in the surgical treatment of relaxation of the diaphragm with displacement of the abdominal organs into the thoracic cavity, with compression of the lung and mediastinum. A distinctive feature is the large volume of displaced organs into the thoracic cavity, which implies a significant increase in intra-abdominal pressure in the postoperative period, increased pressure on the operated area of the diaphragm, and a high risk of complications, and requires a combined approach to the treatment of an anesthesiologist and a surgeon in a specialized department.
