Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Management Information Systems (MIS) are vital to the implementation of the key strategic goals of better management control and operational effectiveness in complex organizations. The applications of such systems in the public hospitals environment play a key role in the primary health care sector as the backbone of all the other levels of health care. Efficient systems that enhance the flow of information between hospital managers can have a profound impact on the overall performance of such health care institutions. Hospital management is facing increasing pressure from the public, governments, insurance companies and internal and external auditors, to improve the quality of services and to track more clearly and concisely their use of resources
