Abstract: This study analyzes the reliability of a passenger-cargo-container ship operating in Indonesian waters. The primary focus is to evaluate the impact of variations in loading conditions and wave height on the structural integrity of the vessel. The research methodology involves calculating the longitudinal strength of the ship under various wave conditions in its operational area, and integrating Monte Carlo simulations to analyze the structural reliability under different operational scenarios. The yield strength of marine grade A material is used as the failure definition. The results show that structural reliability decreases with increasing wave height, with the highest probability of failure reaching 0.60% at a wave height of 3 meters. Loading condition analysis reveals that the scenario with passenger-only loading shows a significant decrease in reliability, reaching 99.30%, compared to other loading conditions that maintain reliability above 99.8%. Monte Carlo simulations yield structural reliability values of 99.72% for the ship’s deck and 99.81% for the ship’s bottom, with failure probabilities of 0.28% and 0.19%, respectively. These findings indicate that the deck structure is more prone to failure compared to the bottom structure.
