Abstract: Along with the rapid development of technology, innovation is the key to maintaining the competitiveness and operational efficiency of the company. This research aims to identify and evaluate the maturity level of the research and innovation management process at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo. The survey was conducted involving 2,240 respondents covering six main pillars, namely strategy, culture, process, governance, expertise, and future foresight. The method used in this research involves the analysis of quantitative data generated from the survey. The results of the research show that the expertise pillar obtained the highest score, which is 82%, indicating that the ability and knowledge of employees are considered high enough to support research and innovation activities in the company. However, the governance and future foresight pillars still need to be improved, with each obtaining an average score of 78%. The findings highlight a gap between existing and ideal conditions, particularly in the governance and future foresight pillars, which requires targeted strategies to bridge these disparities. Although the average satisfaction with research and innovation management at Pelindo is 80%, a gap remains between current and ideal conditions. The findings highlight the need for Pelindo to develop future-focused innovation strategies, particularly improving governance and adopting a forward-looking approach. The discussion of this research provides insight for Pelindo management to design more effective strategies in improving research and innovation performance, as well as closing the gap that exists between current conditions and desired ideal conditions.
