Abstract: Using religion to try to refute a scientific theory may sharply limit one’s ability to develop an understanding of both religion and science. But seeing religion and science as not mutually exclusive may lead to a greater appreciation and understanding of both. Prominent faith-based theories about Darwinism show both the dangers and benefits of using religion to study science.
