Abstract: The review article discusses the substantive contents contained in the study on the life and scientific achievements of Professor Bogusław Śliwerski on the occasion of his jubilee - the 70th anniversary of his birth and the 25th anniversary of his professorship. An attempt is made to analyze and interpret both the texts relating to the scientific achievements of the jubilarian, as well as to present the author's own description and characterization of this outstanding Polish representative of pedagogy. The article also contains slightly subjective elements, including an emotional and reflective tone, which results from the specificity of both the reviewed book and the way it is presented in the review text.
