Evaluation of the protection of blood cells from mobile electromagnetic waves by a Compensatory Magnetic Oscillator device

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Background. It was proved that acute exposure to electromagnetic waves (EW) of mobile phone alter neutrophil and red cells physiology without clinical impact in human health. Objective. Evaluation of the reliability of a commercial protective device in the protection of blood cells against phone’s waves. Method. Blood samples were taken from 30 healthy non-smoking subjects aged from 18 to 40 years; volunteers and samples were exposed to electromagnetic waves of a mobile phone during a call for sixty minutes under controlled experimental conditions. Complete blood count was compared before and after exposure. Results. Results of this study showed significant changes in vivo for a few hematological parameters represented by an increase in the percentage of polymorphonucleus cells and the level of mean hemoglobin concentration (CHCM), as well as a decrease in lymphocyte and monocyte counts and in vitro by an increase in the CHCM, mean platelet volume, neutrophil myeloperoxydase, immature granulocytes count associated to a decrease for of mean corpuscular volume, mean platelet mass, rate of hypochromic and fragmented red cells. Conclusion. Protection of blood cells by anti-waves devices seems to be insufficient and this work requires to be completed by an increase in population size.
