Illustrated Catalogue of the types of Tabanidae (Diptera: Brachycera) housed in the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA)

Abstract: Following recommendation 72F of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN), we provide an updated list of primary and secondary types of Tabanidae deposited in the Invertebrate Collection of the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA). Specimen information is provided based on their labels, and the species are presented in alphabetical order. The collection houses a total of 37 holotypes and 703 paratypes of 76 species and one subspecies. We report the type status, additional comments, and photographs of species.
