Abstract: The article examines the geological structure of the Alibek Yuzhny deposit, located on the eastern edge of the Caspian Basin. The deposit is characterized by complex tectonics caused by the interaction of the East European and Kazakh plates. The article presents data from seismic studies that demonstrate the lithological heterogeneity of the foundation and the existence of various structures that control the distribution of precipitation. Special attention is paid to the KT-I and KT-II carbonate strata, which contain the main oil deposits. The results of seismic exploration and drilling confirming the presence of oil-bearing formations in various blocks of the field are presented. Research also highlights the importance of using modern technologies to improve the efficiency of oil production from complex formations. Methods such as the use of digital reservoir twins, machine learning, and data analysis (Big Data) are considered, which makes it possible to more accurately predict production and optimize the drilling process. Special attention is paid to hydrodynamic modeling and the latest methods of increasing oil recovery, These approaches help to reduce oil viscosity, improve its mobility and increase production efficiency. The article also discusses the results of laboratory studies on the displacement of oil by water and gas, which further increased the oil recovery coefficient. The data presented in the article emphasize the importance of an integrated approach to field development using modern technologies and scientific methods, which can lead to an increase in recoverable oil reserves and minimize risks during production. Thus, the analysis of the state of production of oil reserves from formations when assessing the properties of reservoir deposits plays a key role in optimizing the oil production process and ensuring the sustainable development of the oil industry. In conclusion, the oil and gas reserves at the field and the prospects for its development are discussed.
