Abstract: Recent advancements have focused on integrating microfluidic devices with semiconductor imaging sensors [1].We previously merged microfluidic elements with luminol-H2O2 ECL systems on a CMOS chip, enabling sample manipulation and data capture on a unified platform [2].This integration involved using a single electrode as an electrochemical transducer alongside a CMOS chip for detection, proving effective in measuring uric acid levels in saliva and urine.Building on this, our current research explores the single electrode's capabilities for multicolor ECL multiplexing through variations in electric potential, enabling distinct ECL colors [3].For the first time, we achieved multiplexed multicolor SE-ECL using Ru (II) and Ir (III) luminophores, distinguishing four colors or three analytes simultaneously by varying the channel, potential, and color combination. To enhance signal intensity and multiplexing capabilities, we introduced Alternating Current (AC) voltage to drive the ECL reaction within this single electrode setup, coupled with a microfluidic and multicolor ECL system on a CMOS chip for a compact sensor design.
