Research on Growth-Oriented AI Enterprises in China: Development Trends and Strategic Insights
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study investigates the development characteristics, regional dynamics, and technological trajectories of growth-oriented AI enterprises in China, which constitute 90% of the country's AI-related firms. By analyzing multi-source data from Deloitte, Intel, and the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association (2020–2023), combined with case studies and quantitative methods, this research highlights the pivotal role of these enterprises in driving AI commercialization and industrial integration. Key findings reveal their concentration in application-layer technologies (61%), regional clustering in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen (41% collectively), and reliance on open-source frameworks like TensorFlow (70.6% adoption). The study innovatively identifies six critical success factors, including vertical market penetration and data-driven iteration, offering strategic insights for policymakers and investors. This work fills gaps in understanding China's AI ecosystem dynamics and provides empirical evidence for fostering agile innovation in emerging technologies.
