The value of family as a motivating factor for volunteering has been confirmed. Personal choice makes it possible to exclude (make unlikely) the transfer of problems of extremity to the family, to reduce conflict in relationships. Participation in an armed conflict increases the importance of friendship (camaraderie) to the level of family relations. The material focuses on improving psychological support measures for extreme volunteerism in Russia, as well as an approach to providing social and psychological assistance to families of participants in armed conflicts.
