Abstract: Soil occupies a special place among the values necessary for the survival of civilizations. Agricultural production is inconceivable without land resources, and the soil, being the main and irreplaceable means of production in crop production, performs important numerous functions: it serves as a living space, accumulates and retains a huge amount of chemically active energy in the form of soil organic matter, supports a certain gas composition of the atmosphere, and the hydrological regime of the land. All this understanding led to the fact that much attention was paid to the study of the soil layer in our country at the beginning of the 20th century . In this article, we want to describe the life path (biography) of one of the natives of our region, who played an active role in studying the soils of our homeland and in Bashkiria at one of the stages of his creative life in the late 30s of the XX century.
