Abstract: Migration is an age-old phenomenon, rich with complexity and profound significance in human life. It shapes identities and influences destinies, as every individual embarks on journeys driven by myriad reasons, both major and minor. This study delves into the transformative experiences of youth migration, particularly in the context of socio-economic changes brought about by globalization in Mumbai. By collecting primary data of 400 young migrants from various parts of India, this research covers the realities faced by these individuals. It highlights the effects of urban life on their socio-economic conditions and the psycho-social vulnerabilities they encounter. The findings are crucial not only for understanding the challenges that youth migrants face but also for informing social work interventions aimed at promoting their well-being. Furthermore, the study offers practical, actionable solutions for society, NGOs, governmental bodies, and thought leaders to support this vulnerable population.
